Open redirect via improper jumpUrl handling
Published May 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Open redirect in TYPO3 Direct Mail 5.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to redirect newsletter readers through crafted jumpUrl links. The extension's newsletter-link handler accepts a jumpUrl destination without constraining the redirect to a trusted site. Exploitation requires a newsletter reader to follow the link, after which the attacker-chosen site can present phishing content.
