CVE-2020-12698Network attack vector

Subscriber data disclosure via unchecked CSV export

Published May 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Broken access control in TYPO3 Direct Mail 5.2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to export subscriber data. The CSV export function omits the authorization check that should restrict access to newsletter subscriber tables such as tt_address and fe_users. A valid backend account with CSV export access is required, but its table permissions do not prevent disclosure of subscriber records.
