Deserialization of untrusted project data in M&M Software fdtCONTAINER allows local users to execute code through a crafted project file. The component exchanges binary blobs with its host, which stores them in a project file or database and deserializes attacker-modified data when the project opens. The attacker needs write access to project storage, and application users must manually open the manipulated file; resulting code runs with the host application's user rights.
