CVE-2020-12493Network attack vector

Unauthenticated root access via open QNX debug port

Published May 29, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Improper access control in SWARCO CPU LS4000 G4-series firmware allows remote attackers to gain root access through a debug port. An open QNX debug port accepts network connections without access control and exposes unauthenticated root access to the controller CPU. Network reachability is sufficient; root control permits changes to operations involving connected intersection-control devices.
