Traffic interception via same-name Wi-Fi impersonation
Published Dec 17, 2024 · Updated Dec 17, 2024
Missing authentication in vivo Wifi before 8.12.0.0 allows attackers to intercept enterprise Wi-Fi traffic via a spoofed network. The Wifi module's special enterprise mode leaves undisclosed connection options improperly configured, allowing a crafted same-name network to impersonate the intended access point. Exploitation requires adjacent network access and user interaction; it enables man-in-the-middle reading or modification of traffic but does not interrupt service.
