Admin code execution via configurable converter executable
Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Code execution in MonoX 5.1.40.5152 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to run arbitrary programs. The Converter Executable setting accepts an administrator-selected program path in place of ffmpeg.exe and invokes that program during video conversion. Access to the administrative configuration interface is required, and execution occurs with the web application's operating-system privileges.
