Spreadsheet command execution via unneutralized CSV formula
Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
CSV injection in Subrion CMS 4.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute spreadsheet formulas when an exported language file is opened. The language phrase editor accepts a formula-leading value, and the language download path writes it to a CSV cell without neutralizing formula syntax. Exploitation requires panel credentials with phrase-editing permission and a user to open the exported CSV in formula-executing spreadsheet software.
