Stored XSS via nonce-free form import
Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
CSRF in Ninja Forms before 3.4.24.2 allows remote attackers to store JavaScript by inducing an administrator to import a crafted form. The legacy-mode ninja_forms_ajax_import_form AJAX handler checks capability but not the request nonce, and accepts custom HTML in imported forms. An administrator must visit an attacker-controlled link while authenticated; the stored script then executes in visitors' browsers and permits page-content modification or data access within that browser context.
