Local secret disclosure via world-readable database
Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in Grafana through 6.7.3 allows local users to read datasource passwords from a world-readable SQLite database. The packaged installation assigns read permission for others to /var/lib/grafana and grafana.db instead of restricting them to the Grafana account. Any local account that can traverse the directory can copy stored datasource credentials, including cleartext and encrypted passwords.
