Database compromise via unparameterized SQL queries
Published Apr 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in PHPGurukul Online Course Registration 2.0 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication and compromise the database. Eight PHP endpoints interpolate request or session values directly into mysqli_query SQL strings without parameterization; the admin login accepts a username predicate that makes its WHERE clause true. Network access to the web application is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants an administrative session or permits database reads and writes.
