Privilege escalation via integer overflow
Published Feb 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Integer overflow in Intel Graphics Drivers before 26.20.100.8141 allows privileged users to enable local privilege escalation. The affected driver firmware performs arithmetic on attacker-influenced values without preventing wraparound, corrupting security-relevant processing. Exploitation requires a privileged local account and can alter integrity or provide additional permissions; no remote path is described.
