IP address disclosure via remote image loading

Security feature bypass in Microsoft Outlook in Office, Word, and Microsoft 365 Apps releases allows remote attackers to disclose a host IP address. Outlook processes a specially crafted image without enforcing configured remote-content restrictions, causing an external image resource to load. Exploitation requires the recipient to open the crafted image; the outbound request exposes the targeted system's IP address, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
