Unauthenticated credential disclosure via viewer parameter
Published Apr 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in TestLink 1.9.20 allows remote attackers to expose cleartext credentials through a crafted login.php viewer parameter. The init_args() routine copies the untrusted viewer request value into its viewer field; the upstream patch disables that assignment and forces the field to an empty string. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of credentials handled by the login endpoint.
