Heap-based buffer overflow in Artifex jbig2dec before 0.18 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted JBIG2 image data. The jbig2_image_compose function in jbig2_image.c performs unchecked integer arithmetic on image offsets and dimensions, allowing extreme values to wrap and drive out-of-bounds heap reads and writes. Exploitation requires an application or service to process attacker-supplied JBIG2 content; resulting impact can include process crashes or code execution with that application's privileges.
