Authenticated code execution via MIME-spoofed PHP upload
Published May 18, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in rConfig 3.9.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through the vendor editor. The vendor.crud.php handler trusts the multipart Content-Type value and stores a .php vendorLogo without validating its extension or file header. A valid application login is required; requesting the stored file under images/vendor executes the uploaded code in the web-server context.
