Authenticated command injection via diagnostic parameters
Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
OS command injection in Beeline Smart Box 2.0.38 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via diagnostic parameters. The Ping ping_ipaddr, Nslookup nslookup_ipaddr, and Traceroute traceroute_ipaddr parameters are passed into diagnostic OS command execution without adequate neutralization. Remote authenticated access to the Advanced settings > Other > Diagnostics page is required; successful input reaches the router operating system with confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
