CVE-2020-12142Network attack vector

IPSec key disclosure via exposed seed parameters

Published May 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect and Unity Orchestrator allows remote authenticated users to obtain IPSec UDP key material. The CLI, REST APIs, and Linux shell expose IPSec seed and nonce parameters that should remain inaccessible to administrative users. Exploitation requires administrative and shell access plus system knowledge, and the disclosed material enables decryption of in-flight communications.
