Persistent XSS via unsanitized device name
Published Apr 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Persistent XSS in AirDisk Pro 5.5.3 for iOS allows remote attackers to execute script in its Wi-Fi file-sharing interface. The interface inserts the local Apple device name into an h2 element beside its logo without sanitizing the value, so stored markup executes whenever the page loads. Exploitation requires Wi-Fi access and low user interaction; successful script execution enables session hijacking, redirects, or interface-content manipulation.
