Stored XSS via nonce-free AJAX actions
Published Apr 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
CSRF in Supsystic Data Tables Generator before 1.9.92 allows remote attackers to inject stored JavaScript through forged AJAX requests. Nonce-free WordPress AJAX actions accept requests made with an authenticated user's session, and saveSettings writes attacker-controlled script into table fields. Exploitation requires interaction with a malicious link or attachment while logged in; the script runs for affected-table visitors and can redirect them or create administrator accounts.
