Unauthorized configuration changes via exposed Telnet CLI
Published Jun 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper access control in Baxter Spectrum WBM 17, 20D29, 20D30, 20D31, and 22D24 allows remote attackers to alter network settings. The module exposes a Telnet CLI on port 1023 with hard-coded credentials and grants access to stored data, network configuration, and reboot controls. Network access is required; configuration changes are temporary, and rebooting the WBM does not interrupt infusion therapy.
