CVE-2020-12032Network attack vector

PHI disclosure and modification via unencrypted database

Published Jun 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Missing encryption in Baxter ExactaMix EM2400 1.10 and 1.11 and EM1200 1.1 and 1.2 allows remote attackers to read or modify PHI. The systems store device data, including sensitive patient records, in an unencrypted database that network-reachable attackers can access directly. Network access to the compounder is required; exploitation exposes or alters stored patient data without interrupting compounding.
