Administrative access via hard-coded application credentials
Published Jun 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in Baxter ExactaMix EM1200 and EM2400 allow physically proximate attackers to view or update system data. The application embeds an administrative account credential and accepts it for administrator login in EM1200 1.1, 1.2, and 1.4 and EM2400 1.10, 1.11, and 1.13. Physical access to the compounder is required; successful login exposes system configuration and sensitive information, including PHI, to reading or modification.
