CVE-2020-11999Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unsanitized filename processing

Published Jun 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper input validation in Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Linx 6.00, 6.10, and 6.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. An exposed API processes a supplied filename without sanitizing it before using the associated file, enabling unauthorized code execution and file or data modification. Low-privileged network API access is required, and successful exploitation compromises confidentiality and integrity without a reported service interruption.
