Database data access via unsanitized device filters
Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Opmantek Open-AudIT 3.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to query arbitrary database data through device filters. The device-list handler inserts unsanitized system.class and system.discovery_id parameters into SQL statements, allowing predicates or additional statements to alter database queries. Access to an authenticated web session is required; the demonstrated attack changes query results and exposes the full discovered-device inventory.
