Password disclosure via cleartext backup export
Published Nov 7, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Cleartext password storage in Svakom Siime Eye 14.1.00000001.3.330.0.0.3.14 allows attackers to read every user's password from a backup file. The web interface's backup function exports account information, including passwords, into the generated backup file without encryption. Access to the device's web interface is required to create the normally absent file, and obtaining it exposes all application credentials.
