CVE-2020-11917

Location disclosure via fixed default Wi-Fi SSID

Published Nov 7, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Information disclosure in Siime Eye 14.1.00000001.3.330.0.0.3.14 allows remote attackers to locate devices via the Wi-Fi SSID. The access point advertises the same default network name across devices, allowing public SSID-location databases to associate observations with the product. The device must be powered on and observed by a wireless scanner; database access then reveals its approximate physical location.
