Weak password hashing in Svakom Siime Eye 14.1.00000001.3.330.0.0.3.14 allows context-dependent attackers to crack the root password offline. The device stores the root user's Linux password hash with an old, deprecated algorithm that materially reduces resistance to offline cracking. Exploitation requires prior acquisition of the hash through another weakness, and successful cracking exposes the root credential.
