Memory disclosure via IPv6 out-of-bounds read
Published Jun 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Treck TCP/IP stack before 6.0.1.66 allows remote attackers to disclose memory via crafted IPv6 traffic. Public Treck, CNA, and NVD materials do not identify the IPv6 parser, field, or length operation that permits the read beyond its buffer. Exploitation requires unauthenticated network access to IPv6 processing, and the published assessment limits the consequence to confidentiality loss.
