CVE-2020-11885Network attack vector

Admin-authenticated SSRF via XML validator external entities

Published Apr 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

XML external entity injection in WSO2 Enterprise Integrator 6.6.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to make network requests. The XML validator processes an uploaded XML file without blocking external entity resolution, causing the server-side parser to dereference attacker-supplied entity locations. Admin console access and file-upload interaction are required; successful exploitation supports SSRF, port scanning, local-file disclosure, or service interruption.
