Stack information disclosure via uninitialized screenshot RGB
Published Apr 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in OPPO ColorOS 6 and 7 allows remote attackers to read stack values through the screenshot function. In frameworks/native/services/surfaceflinger/SurfaceFlinger.cpp, screenShot returns an RGB stack value without initializing it. The leak requires no authentication or user interaction and exposes data that can defeat address-space layout randomization.
