TLS private-key disclosure via undisclosed HTTPS flaw
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
TLS private-key disclosure in NETGEAR R8900, R9000, RAX120, and XR700 routers before 2020-01-20 allows remote attackers to obtain the key. The vendor identifies the HTTPS management-interface certificate as the affected credential but does not disclose the request, file, or firmware operation that exposes it. No authentication or user interaction is required; possession of the key compromises the confidentiality of HTTPS access to the router interface.
