Code execution via unvalidated database objects
Published May 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Memory corruption in Microsoft Windows Jet Database Engine allows remote attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted file. The engine fails to validate user-supplied data before processing database objects in memory, producing a memory-corruption condition. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled content, and successful code runs in the context of the process that opens it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
