Request smuggling via inconsistent subrequest body framing

HTTP request smuggling in OpenResty before 1.15.8.4 allows remote attackers to alter downstream requests via ngx.location.capture. ngx_http_lua_subrequest.c copied parent request headers while separately replacing the subrequest body and its Content-Length, creating inconsistent framing for chunked requests. Exploitation requires a reachable Lua handler that invokes the affected API; the published assessment limits the direct impact to downstream request integrity.
