Script execution via unencoded admin-interface parameters
Published Apr 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in the ProVide Admin Web Interface 13.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. GetInheritedProperties reflects the groups parameter, GetUserInfo reflects POST data, and SetUserInfo stores the general parameter without safely encoding it for HTML output. Exploitation requires an administrator to load the crafted response or stored value, after which script runs in the interface's browser context.
