Improper access control in GitLab CE and EE 8.15 through 12.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to retain access after group deletion. GitLab has not published the specific deletion code path or cleanup operation that fails to revoke former members' authorization. Exploitation requires prior group membership; stale authorization then permits continued reading of resources that should become inaccessible.
