CVE-2020-11585Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked attachment identifiers

Published Apr 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in DNN 9.5 allows remote authenticated users to read non-secure File Manager files through Message Center. Message Center accepts attacker-selected, sequential fileIds values for self-addressed message attachments without verifying access to the referenced files. Any registered account suffices; secure-folder files are excluded, but other stored files can be enumerated and opened.
