Authenticated privilege escalation via crafted Web Access URL
Published Apr 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Privilege escalation in NCH Express Invoice 7.25 allows remote authenticated users to access higher-privileged web functions. The Web Access interface accepts a directly requested crafted URL without enforcing the low-privilege account's authorization on the target page. A low-privilege Web Access account is required; exploitation exposes functions such as Add New Item and permits unauthorized item changes.
