Root SSH access via hard-coded backdoor credentials
Published Apr 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in OpsRamp Gateway before 7.0.0 allow remote attackers to obtain root SSH access to the appliance. The appliance includes the vadmin account with a fixed password accepted by SSH, converting a published credential into root authentication. Exploitation requires network access to the appliance's SSH service and grants full control over its operating environment.
