Authenticated code execution via schema-name path traversal
Published May 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in Zoho ManageEngine DataSecurity Plus before 6.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through DR-SCHEMA-SYNC. DataRepositoryManager.syncDRSchemas() concatenates an unvalidated schema-name key into a destination path and writes its JSON value, allowing traversal into the webroot as a JSP file. Access to the Xnode Server's authenticated request channel is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied Java code in the product's security context.
