File disclosure and internal requests via import URLs
Published Apr 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SSRF in external data import in MicroStrategy Web 10.4 allows remote authenticated users to read local files or reach internal services. The dashboard data-import feature dereferences an attacker-controlled URL server-side without restricting file URLs or internal destinations. Low-privileged access to the import feature is sufficient to retrieve server-readable files or make connections from the server's network position.
