Authenticated script execution via stored chat content
Published Apr 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in JetBrains Space through 2020-04-22 allows remote authenticated users to run script in Chat viewers' browsers. JetBrains identifies Chats as the affected locus but has not published the accepted input or the missing validation or output-encoding operation. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to store crafted chat content and another user to view it, causing script execution in that viewer's Space session.
