Data disclosure via unchecked DRM buffer length
Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Qualcomm Snapdragon DRM allows local users to expose memory or interrupt affected devices through crafted input. The closed-source DRM component fails to validate a buffer length before reading beyond the allocated buffer boundary. Low-privileged local code execution is required; public sources do not identify the input format or the memory region exposed by the read.
