CVE-2020-11276Network attack vector

Memory disclosure via unchecked WLAN attribute lengths

Published Feb 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to disclose memory via crafted beacon or probe-response frames. The P2P information-element and Notice of Absence parser fails to validate advertised attribute lengths against the received frame before reading. Exposure requires an affected WLAN component to process an attacker-controlled management frame; service disruption is also possible, but Qualcomm has not specified whether it causes a hang, crash, or reboot.
