CVE-2020-11262

Local memory corruption via graphics context race

Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon Graphics allows local users to corrupt memory by racing command submission with context destruction. The graphics command path can append a context to its tracking list after concurrent teardown has invalidated and freed that context. The race requires local access and precise timing, and the resulting stale graphics context permits memory corruption.
