Service interruption via unchecked ARP/NS packet length
Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Buffer over-read in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a malformed ARP or NS packet. The ARP/Neighbor Solicitation parser reads beyond the received buffer because it does not verify the packet length before parsing fields. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the published impact is limited to availability rather than data disclosure or modification.
