Memory corruption via unchecked camera array index
Published Feb 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Qualcomm Snapdragon camera drivers allows local users to corrupt memory through a crafted array index. The driver copies data into an array without validating the attacker-controlled index before the write, allowing the copy to exceed the destination bounds. Low-privilege local access to the camera driver is required, and successful exploitation corrupts memory in the driver context.
