Buffer over-read via maximum atom size
Published Jan 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Qualcomm Snapdragon video drivers allows remote attackers to read memory by playing a crafted clip. The driver mishandles a clip atomsize field set to UINT32_MAX and reads beyond its intended video buffer. Exploitation requires an affected device to parse the clip; public sources do not identify the exposed media path or the specific data returned.
