Memory disclosure via unchecked descriptor field lengths
Published Jan 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Qualcomm Snapdragon Service descriptor processing allows remote attackers to disclose memory via malformed field lengths. The parser accepts descriptor field lengths without validating them against the available buffer, causing reads beyond its boundary. No privileges or user interaction are required; the read can expose adjacent memory or interrupt the affected component.
