Local memory corruption via unchecked parameter count
Published Feb 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory corruption in the BSI module in Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms allows local users to corrupt memory via malformed parameter counts. The module fails to validate the supplied parameter count before using it as an array index, permitting an out-of-bounds access. Low-privileged local access is required; public records do not identify the reachable interface or further bound the effect.
