CVE-2020-11069Network attack vector

Administrator account creation via same-origin uploaded scripts

Published May 13, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Same-site request forgery in TYPO3 CMS 9.0.0 through 9.5.16 and 10.0.0 through 10.4.1 allows attackers to create administrator accounts. The backend interface and Install Tool execute JavaScript from attacker-uploaded same-origin resources, allowing the browser to submit requests with the victim session. Exploitation requires victim interaction during an active backend or Install Tool session; the resulting actions inherit that session's privileges.
